As we previously informed, with the initiative of Air Traffic Management “Azeraeronavigation” (AZANS) of “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC in cooperation with the CANSO from June 11-13, 2024 the CANSO Global ATM Summit 2024 was hosted in Baku.
As part of his participation in this summit, the First Deputy General Director of SUE “Tajikairnavigation” Davron Shodmonbekzoda implemented the fruitful meeting with Simon Hocquard CANSO General Director and Cengiz Paşaoğlu the Deputy Director General DHMI of Turkey, where the parties discussed the issues of increasing transit flights using the direct air route between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China.
During the meeting, Michiel van Dorst Management and chairman of the Executive Board of Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL) congratulated SUE “Tajikairnavigation” on its membership in CANSO, as well as expressed his opinion regarding the enterprise contribution to ensuring flight safety in the Republic of Tajikistan airspace and increasing air traffic. Enterprise contribution on air navigation services provision in the region is considered important.
It should be noted that “CANSO Global ATM Summit 2024” brought together representatives and managers of aeronautical enterprises and manufacturers of aeronautical service equipment from 42 countries of the world, more than 70 experts discussed issues on Environmental Sustainability and more specifically, combating climate change, reducing carbon emissions, showcasing advanced ATM technologies, and enhancing air traffic management with the goal of having more environmentally friendly flights.
