PARTICIPATION IN THE MEETING OF THE COLLECTIVE SECURITY COUNCIL OF THE COLLECTIVE SECURITY TREATY ORGANIZATION

The Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, in which the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, participated and delivered a speech.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of state of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

At the next meeting of the Collective Security Council, issues related to the military-political situation in the world and collective security zones, strengthening cooperation within the Organization and prospects for the development of the collective security system, as well as the progress of preparations for the joint celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory were discussed.

The heads of state exchanged views on ways to strengthen and expand cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, relations with other regional and global organizations, and the Organization's Action Plan for 2025.

At the beginning of his speech, the Head of State of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, for the warm welcome and the high-level organization of the event.

Our Head of State drew the attention of the participants of the meeting to the negative impact of the aggravation of the military-political situation in the region and the world on the CSTO member states, stating that "all issues on today's agenda reflect the current reality, and we are in favor of making appropriate decisions on them."

In addition, Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude for supporting the decision to approve the CSTO Interstate Targeted Program on Strengthening the Tajik-Afghan Border.

In conclusion, the Head of State wished the future chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the CSTO every success and stated that the Republic of Tajikistan is ready for fruitful joint work with the neighboring country and will provide comprehensive assistance in implementing the plans set for the chairmanship period.

At the end of the meeting, the heads of state signed a number of documents, including the Declaration of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the decision on approving the CSTO Interstate Targeted Program for Strengthening the Tajik-Afghan Border, etc.
