China is ready to cooperate with Tajikistan on implementation Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative and Global Civilization Initiative to better respond to global challenges and promote common development and prosperity. Li Qiang, Prime Minister of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, stated in the meeting with Kohir Rasulzoda, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, writes the official Information Agency of China “Xinhua”. Kohir Rasulzoda and Li Qiang met on the sidelines of the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
It was noted that during last years, under the strategic leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, bilateral relations have become increasingly closer, and cooperation is bringing fruitful results.
Chinese side expressed interest in strengthening the synergy of development strategies with Tajikistan, continuing to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, giving full play to industrial complementarity, expanding trade and investment, strengthening cooperation in such fields as transport infrastructure, civil aviation, green economy and digital economy, and deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges in sports, culture, education and between regions.
In this context, it should be emphasized that cooperation on civil aviation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China speeding up and several important documents have been signed in this direction. Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on air communication dated March 9, 1993, Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China on civil aircraft dated January 15, 2007, Protocol of the meeting between the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Air Traffic Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of the People’s Republic of China on November 29, 2018 and others are among them. On the sidelines, the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) signing the Memorandum of Understanding on the joint construction of the “Air Silk Road” is the next step in strengthening cooperation on civil aviation between two countries.
Promoting all-round cooperation between Central Asian countries, deepen coordination within the frameworks of the United Nations and the SCO and promote regional peace and prosperity were important issues of the meeting.
