On May 31, 2024, the meeting of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” leadership and employees with the Anti-Corruption Department of the State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Tajikistan representative, senior Lieutenant of Justice Nuriddin Saifiddinzoda was conducted.

Deputy General Director Rahimjon Saidzoda opened the meeting and expressed his opinions regarding the “State Strategy for Combating Corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030” implementation and the ways to prevent this undesirable phenomenon in the society.

 

“To date, 400 regulatory and legal documents have been adopted in the Republic of Tajikistan, however, there are still various problems in the society regarding the occurrence of corrupt practices. In order to detect and prevent cases of corruption in everyday life, the “Methodology of procedures and techniques for analyzing activities (corruption risks)” was approved and within the analysis of this document, 110 corruption risks were revealed”, - noted the Contract-Legal Department Head of the enterprise Sharaf Izatulloev during his speech.

 

At the same time, it was stated that this methodology purpose is to reveal the institutional factors that contribute to corruption or that can lay the foundation for it.

“Due to the low level of education on legal issues, citizens are most often confronted with corruption. One of the goals of the announcement of 2024 by the Leader of the country Emomali Rahmon as the “Year of Legal Education” is to prevent corruption in society and increase the citizens’ legal education level”, - stated Nuriddin Saifiddinzoda.

In conclusion, Nuriddin Saifiddinzoda and enterprise staff discussed the implementation of the “State Strategy to Combat Corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030”.
