“During his visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, ICAO Regional Director for Europe and the North Atlantic, Nicholas Rallo conducted fruitful meetings with the leadership of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, SUE “Tajikairnavigation”, domestic airlines and airports of the country, closely acquainted with their activities, and evaluated their functions positively. At the same time, the ICAO Commission visit to the Republic of Tajikistan that was planned for 2025, was discussed between agency leadership and ICAO representative”, - noted the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Director Nazarzoda Habibullo Temur, in response to journalists questions.
On July 24, 2024, in the hall of Dushanbe International Airport, the press conference summarizing the results of aviation activities for the first semi-annual of 2024 was conducted with the participation of the leadership of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the SUE “Tajikairnavigation”, OJSC “Somon Air”, JSC “Tajik Air”, JSC “Dushanbe International Airport” and representatives of domestic and foreign media of the country.
“As part of upgrading air navigation service equipment and technologies, along with the installation of meteorological equipment at helipads in a number of cities and districts of the country, several radio and meteorological equipment were delivered and installed and access to digital information was provided from the meteorological fields of Murghob, Khorugh and Vanj to Dushanbe city. The modern program of the automated flight planning system “VOLANTIS-3.0” was put into operation. The efficiency of the meteorological forecasting by the “TAF” system for the first semi-annual of 2024 was 90.5 percent which shows the professional skills of the center staff”, - stated the First Deputy Director General of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” Davron Shodmonbekzoda, answering a question regarding the acquisition, availability and installation of air naviation equipment.
“During this period, in order to improve the level of air nviation service and ensure flight safety, a number of equipment and technologies of air navigation service, radio technical and meteorological support were modernized in cooperation with partners engaged in industry equipment production. The meteorological station with additional equipment for centralization of control and use of “AVIMET” system for the branch of the enterprise at Khujand airport was received by the enterprise in accordance with the plan and works on its installation are continuing,” - emphasized Saidzoda Rahimjon, Deputy Director General of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation”.
In order to provide meteorological information, which is one of the important aspects of ensuring flight safety, meteorological equipment with solar batteries has been installed in Murghob, Vanj, Dangara, Lakhsh, Isfara and Khorogh that is designed to measure temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction.
In conclusion, it was noted that in the framework of measures to expand the geography of flights a meeting of the leadership of the Civil Aviation Agency of the country with the Civil Aviation Agency of friendly countries was conducted and flights to Great Britain, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Budapest, Tbilisi, Doha, Urumqi, Baku, Istanbul, Astana and other regions are planned.
