Bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan is developing and strengthening of relations in various fields is expanding.

In this context, in the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Tajikistan on April 18, 2024, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honorable Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Honorable Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Treaty of Alliance between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, and one of the signed agreements is the expansion of cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

“We instructed the Governments to work out the issue of opening new air routes between the cities of the two countries, as well as to increase flight frequency between the capitals. We noted with satisfaction the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries regions. New inter-regional documents were signed today in order to stimulate contacts in this direction,” – stated the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honorable Emomali Rahmon at a meeting with a wide range of domestic and foreign journalists after the signing ceremony.

It should be noted that the support of the Heads of State of both countries laid the foundation for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the framework of strategic partnership and alliance in establishing cooperation in air navigation.

In order to implement cooperation in the field of air navigation, the management and specialists of SUE Center “Uzaeronavigation” visited SUE “Tajikairnavigation”.

In the course of the visit, the guests had familiarized with the process of providing air navigation services, equipment and technologies of the industry, as well as with the activities of the enterprise Control Tower. During the meeting, the specialists also exchanged views on access, implementation and use of technologies that provide services in this sphere.

 

Then, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajikairnavigation” and the State Unitary Enterprise Center “Uzaeronavigation” was hosted.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the General Director of SUE “Tajikairnavigation” Begijonzoda Loik Begijon and the Director of SUE Center “Uzaeronavigation” Djumaev Doniyor Ibragimovich.

   

During his visit Doniyor Djumaev Director of SUE Center “Uzaeronavigation” had a fruitful meeting with Loik Begijonzoda, General Director of SUE “Tajikairnavigation” and the parties expressed interest in strengthening further cooperation on providing air navigation services.  

“Our joint efforts are aimed at improving the quality and safety of air navigation, which is a key factor in ensuring stable and safe air traffic between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. We are confident that the exchange of experience and technologies will allow us to reach new heights in this direction”, - stated Loik Begijonzoda.

 

At the same time, in the presence of the management of both enterprises, the opportunities of the enterprises and the action plan for the implementation of further cooperation and their development were presented.

It should be noted that the strategic partnership and reliable alliance of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are based on the principles of mutual friendship, good neighbourliness and respect for mutual interests, this memorandum promotes the expansion of cooperation in the field of aviation and air navigation in order to further strengthening air navigation services in the region, exchange experience and ensure the flight safety through both countries airspace.
