CANSO Euro/Central-Asia ANSPs Second CEO Summit was hosted in Istanbul from 14 to 15 October 2024 with the participation of the CEOs of region air navigation service providers. Summit was attended by the CANSO Director General Simon Hocquard, Deputy Director General DHMI of Turkey, Director of the Air Navigation Service “Azeraeronavigation”, the First Deputy General Director of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation”, Director of the SUE Center “Uzaeronavigation”, Director General of the State Enterprise “Kyrgyzaeronavigatsia”, Head of the Air Traffic Control Department of the RSE “Kazaeronavigatsia”, the same time heads of a number structural units of the air navigation providing enterprises.

During the event addressed the traffic pattern evolution in the Euro-Asia airspace and its impact on air navigation systems, the Concept of Operations for the region, as well as other important issues of improving air traffic management in the region. Decisions and joint strategies were adopted to improve air navigation services, ensure safety, efficiency and capacity in the development of the aviation industry.

At the same time, Davron Shodmonbekzod, First Deputy General Director of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” and Cengiz Paşaoğlu, Deputy Director General DHMI of Turkey met on the sidelines of the summit to discuss the use of a new air corridor between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China by “Turkish Airlines”.

It should be highlighted that the establishment of this new ANSP CEOs’ cooperation aims to enhance a common understanding among Euro-Asian ANSPs of the key challenges facing the region and identify common solutions, as well as develop and establish a collaborative decision-making process.
