CONSIDERATION OPENING NEW ROUTS UNDER ICAO RDGE-SCM/2024 AND 39TH MEETING OF THE EURASIAN COORDINATION COUNCIL

On November 2024, the 39th meeting of the Eurasia Coordination Council was conducted in the framework of the ICAO Route Development Group – East Special Coordination Meeting (RDGE-SCM/2024) where SUE “Tajikairnavigation” staff represented Republic of Tajikistan.

In the meeting have been heard the reports from air navigation service providers from Tajikistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan regarding implemented works in the first 9 months of 2024 and presented plans until the end of 2025. At the same time, the participants discussed the exchange of experience and best practices, recent changes in the states on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and the organization of an international professional skills competition among ATC controllers in 2025. Based on the results of the event, the experts outlined a work plan for 2025.

Following the presentation by the air navigation service providers (ANSP), a number of air navigation equipment manufacturers, such as Indra, Frequentis, Egmont Aviation, IRAM, Kompas, Almaz, NITA, Azimut, PELENG, VNIIRA and Monitor Soft presented their products.

On November 8, 2024 at the final meeting of the Special Coordination Meeting of the ICAO Route Development Group, a number of new ATC routes were proposed for inclusion in the 2025 route catalog.

As well as in the framework of the event SUE “Tajikairnavigation” staff conducted fruitful meeting with the representative of the Aviation Authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran Alireza Adnan. During the meeting discussed the opening of a new regional route between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, which is designed to attract the interests of airlines of the Gulf countries, such as Qatar Airlines, Etihad Airways and Emirates, operating flights to Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo. As a result of this meeting, it was decided to organize a separate meeting of the working group and sign a memorandum in this direction.

It should be noted that the ICAO Route Development Group – East Special Coordination Meeting (RDGE-SCM/2024), as well as 39th meeting of the Eurasian Coordination Council was hosted from 6 to 8 November 2024 in the city of Tashkent, where more than 50 specialists from international organizations, airlines and air navigation service providers from 15 countries gathered.
