It is worth noting that on July 21, 1999, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan “On additional measures to strengthen the fight against crime in the economic sphere and corruption (bribery)” was approved, and in order to implement the real fight against this phenomenon on December 10 of the same year the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Combating Corruption” adopted, which was later revised taking into account the international obligations of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Corruption is not new as a negative phenomenon in human society. This undesirable phenomenon has existed since ancient times. The Ninth Congress of the United Nations proposed another, more widespread definition of corruption: “Corruption is the abuse of official position for personal gain.”

Corruption is one of the most dangerous phenomena in the society. It is recognized worldwide as a serious crime and one of the elements threatening national security and disrupting the stable socio-economic development of the state. Corruption impedes economic progress, weakens the building of a democratic society, and negatively affects the development of democracy.

From the first days of gaining state independence, the Republic of Tajikistan, realizing the real threat to its future development, has made the fight against corruption one of the priority areas of state policy.

As the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in his speeches constantly warns about the destructive consequences of corruption, emphasizing that “corruption in society creates a basis for the non-observance of constitutional rights of citizens and undermines the foundations of morality”.

In the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” by order Begijonzoda Loik Begijon General Director of the enterprise has approved a schedule of planned activities to conduct explanatory meetings, as well as regular activities to analyze the activities (corruption risks) and strengthen the process of combating corruption with a wide range of employees of all departments, divisions and branches of the enterprise located in the cities of Khujand, Kulob and Bokhtar.

Based on the action plan approved by the enterprise management, on December 27, 2024, with the participation of employees of the enterprise branch in Khatlon region, Kulob city, a regular meeting of employees of the Contractual and Legal Department on the topic “Prevention of Corruption” was conducted.

At the meeting, it was noted that SUE “Tajikairnavigation” supports all resolutions and laws approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight Against of the Republic of Tajikistan on the prevention of corruption factors and widely implements various methods such as anti-corruption propaganda, anti-corruption education and training, analysis and prevention of corruption risks in order to strengthen the work in this direction.
