On February 3, 2025, an official delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin held a meeting with the President of Kuwait’s Civil Aviation - Hamoud Mubarak Al-Sabah, and the General Director of Civil Aviation - Duaj Khalaf Alotaibi.

During the meeting, the parties welcomed the establishment of direct flights and the increase in passenger traffic between the cities of Dushanbe and Kuwait, as well as discussed opportunities for developing cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

The Tajik side proposed creating joint airlines with the involvement of Kuwaiti investments and modernizing or constructing aviation infrastructure. The possibility of opening direct flights by “Kuwait Airways” was also discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to facilitate the development of cooperation in civil aviation.

Meetings between the official delegation of Tajikistan and representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies of Kuwait are ongoing.
