The sixth meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee on the “Capacity Development Project for the Implementation of Performance-Based Navigation in Tajikistan” was hosted.

The event was attended and addressed by representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” General Director Loik Begijonzoda, Chief Representative of JICA Tajikistan IMAI Seiju, JICA specialists, and employees of the enterprise.

“The successful implementation of the “Project on Capacity Development for the Implementation of Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) in the Republic of Tajikistan” was carried out in cooperation with the agency, JICA, and the advisory group of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), airlines, and aviation enterprises, which is a significant achievement in ensuring flight safety and efficient use of the airspace of the Republic of Tajikistan. The implementation of this project has contributed to increasing the capacity of the enterprise to provide air traffic services and exchange experiences with foreign specialists.

During their speeches, experts emphasized that the implementation of this project is aimed at improving the regulation (configuration) of airspace, developing regional accessibility and integration in the provision of air navigation services and improving the level of flight safety and the quality of air navigation services.

It is worth noting that in order to bring the level and quality of air navigation services into line with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajikairnavigation” in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), implemented above project.
