On the eve of the celebration of the international holiday of Navruz, a solemn event was hosted at the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajikairnavigation”, which was attended by enterprise management and employees.
The festive gathering was opened by General Director Deputy Rahimjon Saidzoda, who, on behalf of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” General Director Loik Begijonzoda, sincerely congratulated all employees and noble people of the country on the arrival of the international holiday of Navruz.
During his speech, he reminded the history and traditions of Navruz, stating that “Navruz is one of our most important national celebrations, which from ancient times to the present day has brought people together with the highest human values, friendship and unity, cooperation and prosperity, humanism, and endless gratitude for the blessings of nature. He also particularly noted the consistent and cultural efforts of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, in the development and globalization of this truly glorious holiday”.
“Navruz is one of the ancient celebrations of the Aryan people and has been celebrated with special pomp and pomposity since ancient times, along with other holidays of the Tajik people, including Mehrgon, Sada, and Tirgon. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon highlighted that Navruz is considered not only a national holiday of the Tajiks but also an important cultural and universal phenomenon. The Leader of the Nation especially emphasized the role of Navruz in strengthening unity, friendship, and national self-awareness”, – stated Ahmadzoda Zafar, Chief of Staff of the General Director of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation”.
At the same time, Shokarim Safarmamadov, Head of the Economic Planning Department of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” mentioned in his speech that “Navruz has a six-thousand-year history, and its origin is closely related to the ancient Aryan civilization. Historical studies show that this holiday was officially celebrated as early as the Achaemenid era (VI-IV centuries BC). During that era, Navruz was considered the beginning of the year and a symbol of the fertility of the land”.
“The history of the origin of Navruz dates back 6,000 years, and its celebration was observed as early as the Achaemenid period, since that time, the Iranian people have passed down the customs and traditions of Navruz from generation to generation. The main points of the Navruz tradition left by our ancestors as a cultural value for today’s generation through the book “Avesta”, - recalled Firuz Boyazitov, Chief Specialist of the Press Center.
“The contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to the globalization of Navruz is enormous. With the comprehensive efforts of the Leader of the Nation, on September 30, 2009, Navruz was included in the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, and on February 19, 2010, at the 64th Session, the UN General Assembly declared it the International Day of Navruz and is celebrated with great festive all over the world.
In independent Tajikistan, Navruz has become a national celebration. One of the outstanding virtues of celebrating Navruz is the solidarity and unity of society and the joy and happiness of youth and elders. For this purpose, various events, such as national sports games, are held every year throughout the country to celebrate the international holiday of Navruz at a high level.
The national sports games of the Tajik people are diverse and are mainly held with large crowds. These include archery, national wrestling, wrestling, fencing, horse racing and other games that bring people together during the Navruz holiday”, – mentioned Karomatullo Saidov, Head of the Human Resources and Labor Department of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation”.
In conclusion, it was noted that, like in previous years, this year, the International Day of Nowruz will be celebrated throughout the republic and the capital, districts, neighborhoods, and towns through festive programs.
