On October 23-25, 2023, ICAO Workshop on National Aviation Safety Plan (NASP) Development was conducted in Istanbul, Turkey. Representatives from 9 countries participated in it, such Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. SUE “Tajikairnavigation” employees represented the Republic of Tajikistan in this workshop.

At the workshop sponsored by Boeing, with the participation of senior representatives of ICAO, issues regarding the establishment of aviation safety goals and targets at the regional level were discussed for three days. Responsible stated that National Aviation Safety Plans are a strategic document for the aviation safety management of states and that more work should be done at both regional and global levels for ICAO member states to exhibit higher performance in terms of aviation safety.

 

SUE “Tajikairnavigation” as the country’s main provider of air navigation services, has implemented all measures to ensure the safety of flights, and upgrading means of navigation services to meet services to ICAO requirements and ensure flight safety at the republic airports. The main goal of Enterprise representative participation at the workshop is directed to promote the dynamic exchange of knowledge and experience on the development and effective implementation of national, regional and global safety issues.

It should be noted that the National Aviation Safety Plan (NASP) is the master planning document containing the strategic direction of a State for the management of aviation safety for a set period. This plan lists national safety issues, sets national aviation safety goals and targets, and presents a series of safety enhancement initiatives (SEIs) to address identified safety deficiencies and achieve national safety goals and targets.
